  • Understand the implications of current employment law initiatives and developments, including those relating to salary deferral, employee screening, efforts to abolish employee non-compete agreements in Massachusetts, and issues raised by employee blogging and use of social networks
  • Understand what energy cost reduction options your company has and related contract issues
  • Understand how to deal with key bankruptcy and insolvency issues, including maximizing asset value, negotiating with creditors, and exploring alternatives to a formal bankruptcy
  • Lead your company’s efforts to comply with data security and privacy laws, including Federal Red Flag rules and Massachusetts data breach laws
  • Understand the impact the recent economic downturn has had and is likely to have on the market for venture capital
